Obituary of Nancy Ann Jweid

Mrs. Nancy Ann Jweid, 82, of Deerfield passed away on Sunday August 7, 2011 in the comfort of her home with her loving family by her side. Nancy was born in Utica on January 20, 1929 the daughter of Albert and Rebecca (Edmonston) Mosher. She was raised in Clinton and was a 1947 graduate of Clinton High School. On August 21, 1954, Nancy married William A. Jweid at St. Mary's Church in Clinton, a devoted union of 50 years until Williams death in 2004. At one time, she was employed with Fords Market in Clinton and from 1960 to 2004, along with her husband, operated Jweid's Market in Holland Patent. Nancy enjoyed tending to her flower garden, bird watching and spending time at the family camp on Lake Pleasant. She was a parishioner of St. Mark's Church in N. Utica. Mrs. Jweid is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Mark Popp of West Palm Beach, FL and Kristine and Joseph Slivonik of Clinton; one son, William E. Jweid of Deerfield; four cherished grandchildren, Sarah Mitchell and her husband Benjamin of Camden, Amy Randell and her husband Wayne of Clinton, Bethany Popp and Katelin Popp both of West Palm Beach, FL; five adored great grandchildren, Gavin Mitchell, Leah Randell, twins, Molly Randell and Katie Randell and Aubrey Mitchell; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Frederick and Joyce Mosher of Clinton and Bonnie Jweid of IN; a brother-in-law, George Page of New Hartford and many niece and nephews especially Patsy Mosher who shared a special relationship with Nancy. Also surviving is Nancy's faithful canine companion, Elmer. She was predeceased by one sister, Rebecca Page and four brothers, Dwight (Dub), Vincent (Binny), John (Hank) and James (Jimmy) Mosher. Mrs. Jweid's funeral will be held on Wednesday August 10, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. from the Heintz Funeral Home 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica and 10:00 at St. Mark's Church in N. Utica where her mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Clinton.
