Mr. James A. Nicholson, 59 of Utica passed away on Monday July 11, 2011 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare with his loving family by his side. James was born October 27, 1951 in Oneida, NY the son of Brady and Irene (Wakelee) Nicholson. He was raised in Canastota and attended Canastota Schools. Early in his career, he was employed as a roofer, later with Brian Bar Cadillac and most recently with ConMed Corporation retiring in August 2010 due to illness. He was a motorcycle enthusiast especially Harley Davidson. Mr. Nicholson is survived by his loving companion, Patricia Fithian of Utica; one daughter, Heather Fithian of Utica; two sons, Lee Fithian of NJ and James Fithian of Utica; four cherished grandchildren, Angelina, Brooklynn, Lily and Jordan; four sisters, Janet Ellsworth, Phyllis Becraft, Kathie McCann and Sandie Cary and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Ronnie Nicholson. Mr. Nicholson's funeral will be held on Wednesday July 13, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours for family and friends are Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 prior to the service.
