Henry W. Eilers 69, of Myers Ave., Yorkville, passed away at his home on June 11, 2011 surounded by his loving family. Henry was born in Alexandra, VA on March 17, 1942 the son of the late James and Pearl (Shepard) Eilers. He was raised and educated in Sauquoit, NY. He was a veteran having served his country in the U.S.Army. In February of 1962 in Virginia , Henry was married to Patricia LaValley. He was employed with the Oneida County DPW with 28 years of service. Henry was a member of St. Joseph-St. Patrick's Church, Utica, a member of the Kelly- Phillips American Legion Post 569 of Oriskany Falls, the Oriskany Falls Fire Dept., and was a collector of model train and nascar memorabilia. He is survived by his wife Patricia, 3 daughters and sons in law: Brenda Moon and Paul Larmon, of Hubbardsville, Betty and James Williams of Deansboro, and Belinda and Robert Donahue of Madison,1 son and daughter in law; Edward and Betty Eilers of Yorkville, 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, 5 sisters; Geraldine (Don) Tyler, Sauquoit, Mabeline Tyler, Clark Mills, Jacquelyn (Ronald) Northrup, Clark Mills, Lauren (Linda Hayes) Eilers, Syracuse, and Deborah (Alex) Bryden, Binghamton, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Eilers funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2011 at 9:15 am at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and at 10:00 am at St. Joseph-St. Patrick's Church, Utica, where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. His burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Whitestown. Calling hours at the funeral home will be from 4:00 to 7:00 Tuesday, (today) June 13, 2011. Donation in Henry's memory would be appreciated to the New York State Police. Envelopes will be available.
