Mr. Leonard (Leo) A. Gohn, 41 of Whitesboro, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday May 18, 2011 at his home. Leonard was born in Ohio on June 3, 1969 the son of Leroy and Joyce (Pantlinger) Gohn. He was and educated in Ohio and Pennsylvania and was a graduate of Apollo Junior/Senior High School in PA. Leonard enjoyed Bowling, fishing and was a NASCAR enthusiast who enjoyed attending races at Leonardsville Speedway. He will be remembered for his caring nature, always willing to put the needs of others before his own. Mr. Gohn is survived by two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary (Becky) McCumbers of NC and Dora and Raymond Hanner of Louisiana; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Leroy, Jr. and Tammy Gohn of PA and Michael and Billy Jo Gohn of PA; dear friends, who were like family to Leonard, Jennifer Badger and her children, Samantha, Ashley and Melissa and her grandson, Cole; 17 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Laura Lattimer and his beloved companion, Debra Daily. Mr. Gohn's funeral will be held on Monday May 23, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Interment will be held in Woodgate Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Calling hours for family and friends are Monday 5:00-7:00 prior to the funeral service.
