Mrs. Shirley Ann Hall, 68 of Clinton passed away unexpectedly Friday May 13, 2011 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare in New Hartford. Shirley was born in Bennington, VT on March 19, 1943 the daughter of Joseph and Ardella Morin. She was raised and educated in VT, and later earned her nursing degree from Mohawk Valley Community College. On May 14, 1960, Shirley married Kenneth (Skip) Hall in Bennington, VT a devoted union of 42 years until Kenneth's death in 2002. She was employed as an RN supervisor with the St. Luke's Home in New Hartford and enjoyed traveling and shopping. Shirley was an exceptionally giving and caring women whose natural desire to help other showed in her care for her patients and her love of her family. Mrs. Hall will be sadly missed by her beloved children; two daughters and one son-in-law, Tamie Mason of N. Utica and June and Chris Holmer of S. Utica; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kenneth Jr. and Shelly Hall of Floyd and Todd Hall and Karie DeSouza of N. Utica; her mother, Ardella Morin of VT; 10 cherished grandchildren, John Mason, Michael Mason, Mark Bostwick, III, Jennifer Bostwick, Jamie Hall, Joey Hall, Josh Hall, Juntio Bermudez, Krystal Mutton and her husband Sean and Kara Hall; 8 adored great grandchildren, Serena Marie, Markie, Haylee, Cameron, Jayleana, Jadan, Zaden and Zevin; one sister, Charlene and Bill of VT; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard (Dick) and Bonnie Morin and Frank and Carol Morin all of VT and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hall's funeral will be held on Monday May 16, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and 10:00 at Historic Old St. John's Church in Utica where her mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours for family and friends are Sunday from 2:00-6:00 p.m. In Shirley's memory, please consider making a donation to help support the US military troops home and overseas. Mrs. Hall's family is grateful to the doctors and nurses in the ER at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital and the officers of the New Hartford Police Department for the exceptional efforts, care and compassion that was provided to Shirley and her family. A special thank you to Dr. Atul Butala, Dr. Timothy LeFont and Dr. Eric Yoss for the wonderful care you provided to Shirley.
