Mr. Elliott Gene Stewart, 71, of Utica, passed away on Friday March 25, 2011 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare in New Hartford with his loving family by his side. Elliott was born in Utica on June 24, 1939 the son of Edward and Genevieve (Szablak) Stewart. He was raised in Utica and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. On February 7, 1959, Elliott married Dominica (Nikki) Musa at St. Patrick's Church in Utica. For many years, Elliot was owner and operator of Stewart Brother's automotive service in Yorkville retiring in 2003. After retirement, he went to work with Loomis Fargo Armored Car Service. Elliott was a member and past president of the Eagles Club in Deerfield, a parishioner of the former Sacred Heart Church in Utica and current parishioner of the Church of The Sacred Heart and St. Mary Our Lady of Czestochowa in NY Mills. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, NY Yankees fan and enjoyed cooking and vacationing on the St. Lawrence River. Mr. Stewart is survived by his beloved wife Nikki; two daughters, Jennifer Stewart and Jerry Mallozzi of Utica and Allison Stewart (Mannino) and Ernest Talerico of Sherrill; one son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Denise Stewart of Utica; one brother and three sisters-in-law, James and Marie (Bonnie) Stewart of Port Orange, FL, Cynthia Conigliaro of Galway, NY and Patricia Zegarelli of Utica and nieces and nephews, Susan Griffith and her husband Fred and their children of Port Orange, FL, Jeffery Stewart and his wife Sara and their children of Whitesboro, Melissa Lovelass and her husband Kevin and their children of Galway, NY and David Conigliaro of Ballston Spa, NY. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Genevieve Stewart and in-laws, Jerry and Genevieve Zegarelli. Mr. Stewart's funeral will be held on Monday March 28, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and 10:00 at the Church of The Sacred Heart and St. Mary Our Lady of Czestochowa in NY Mills where his mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in St. George's Cemetery in Whitesboro.
