Robert T. Williams, 84, of Utica passed away on March 23, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center after a brief illness. Robert was born in Utica, January 17, 1927 the son of Robert and Frances (Kiley) Williams. Bob was a graduate of Whitesboro Central School. He was a World War ll Veteran, having served in the US Navy. On August 16, 1952, he was married to Mary Weigel at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Chadwicks, NY. Bob had been employed with the N.Y. State Department of Transportation with forty years of service. He was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church, New Hartford, and a former member of Sacred Heart Church, Utica. Robert is survived by his wife, Mary, of Utica, a son and daughter-in-law; Robert T. Jr. and Camy, of Utica, four grandsons; Robert, Ryan, Corey, and Shawn and a granddaughter; Caitlin Granitto, of Pittsfield, MA. Bob was predeceased by his daughter, Karen, in 1996. Mr. Williams' Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 26, 2011, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, New Hartford. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitestown, NY. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's memory would be appreciated to the American Heart Association.
