Carol R. DeBiase, 70, of Deerfield passed away on Monday March 14, 2011 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. Carol was born in Ilion on March 10, 1941 a daughter of the late Samuel and Arlene (Hall) Geragi. In Ilion, NY on January 30, 1960 Carol was united in marriage to Joseph A. DeBiase a blessed union of 51 years. For many years until her retirement in 1994 she was employed with the Savings Bank of Utica. Carol was a parishioner of St. Mark's Church, N. Utica. Carol will be remembered for her love of gardening and cooking. Her passion for cooking and collecting cookbooks was reflected in her exquisite meals. Carol is survived by her husband Joe, three sons and a daughter-in-law, Joseph and Sharon DeBiase Jr. of Westmoreland, Thomas DeBiase of Charlotte, NC and Robert DeBiase of Deerfield, seven grandchildren, Melissa, Robert Jr., Salvatore, Michael, Trevor, Colon and Mallory DeBiase, two great grandchildren, Julianna and Genero, a sister, Barbara Dewitt, PA, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Samuel and Phyllis Geragi, PA and Donald and Mary Geragi, Pa, close friends, Geraldine Juliano and the Savings Bank of Utica lunch group and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. DeBiase's funeral will be held on Friday March 18, 2011 at 9:15 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica and at 10:00 from St. Mark's Church, N. Utica. Entombment will be in the Calvary Mausoleum. Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday from 4-7. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Deerfield Volunteer Fire Department in Carol's memory. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of the 4th floor Heart Unit of St. Elizabeth's Medical Center for all the loving care given to Carol.
