June C. Iannone, 92, of the Heritage Healthcare Center passed away on Thursday February 17, 2011 with her loving daughter June and granddaughter Lorraine by her side. June was born in Utica on June 22, 1918 a daughter of George and Isabelle (Heffernan) Comstock. She received her education in the Utica Schools and was a graduate of the Utica Beauty School. In Clay, NY on September 21, 1935 June was united in marriage to Joseph J. Iannone, Sr. a blessed union of 58 years until his passing away on March 7, 1993. For many years June own and operated June's Beauty Salon. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Utica until its closing and for many years was the Corresponding Secretary of the Utica Hairdressers Association. June also enjoyed bowling doll collecting and going to garage sales. June is survived by her daughter and son-in-law June and Joseph Campanaro, Col. Ret. USAR, Utica, 8 grandchildren and spouses, Donald (Kathy) Campanaro, Robert (Theresa) Campanaro, Lorraine (Dale) Czeck, Anthony Campanaro, Tina (John) Novak, Gina (Vincent) Chapman, Joseph (Jennifer) Iannone III, Victoria (Arthur) Broccoli, 18 great grandchildren, Matthew, Caitlin, Daniel, Michael, Jimmy, Alexandra, Robert, Joseph (Aimee), Steven, Megan, Vanessa, Vincent, Joseph IV, Bradley, Andrea, Gian, Ava, and Savio, 2 great great grandchildren, Alasondra and Jacob, a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Iannone, a sister-in-law, Lena Comstock and many nieces and nephews especially acknowledging, Evelyn Webster, Isabel Semero and Janet Cole. June was predeceased by 2 sons, Airman 1st Class Donald Iannone in 1956 and Joseph Iannone in 2005 and 2 brothers and 4 sisters, George Comstock, Helen Storsberg, Evelyn Webster, Betty Davidson, James Comstock and Janet James. Mrs. Iannone's funeral will be held on Monday February 21, 2011 at 9:15 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and at 10:00 from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, New Hartford. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Whitestown. Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday from 4-7. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Heritage Healthcare Center who treated June like their own mother, her great grandson Steven who loved her best and a special thank you to anyone who made her smile.
