Mary Anne DeTraglia, 57, beloved daughter and only child of the late Dominic and Elizabeth Marino DeTraglia died at the Martin Luther Home, Clinton, NY on January 15, 2011. Waging a brave battle with Multiple Sclerosis, she had been a patient there since 1999. Her home before her illness was the family homestead on Mohawk Street, Utica, NY. She was educated in the Utica Public School system and employed by Utica City Court and the Utica Public Schools. She had also worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance and for the Census Bureau. Mary Anne was a passionate animal lover and an avid gardener and protector of family perennials. She leaves her aunt, Anne Marino Gelfuso and many cousins among whom include, Carole Dapice, Diana Martin, Linda DeSantis, Don Marino, Francis Marino, Daniel Marino, Mary Anne Griffiths, Lucille Humphreys and Genevieve Santoli and very special friends, Rosann Mino and Martha Wrate. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service and celebration of life which will commence on Thursday January 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish where her Mass of Christian burial will be offered by Rev. James Cesta. The family will received visitors at the conclusion of the Mass. Interment will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
