Brian H. Jones 58, of Melrose Ave. passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2011 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center. Brian was born in Utica, NY on January 26, 1952 the son of Morton and Katherine (Kneller) Jones. He was raised and educated in Utica and was a graduate of Proctor High School. On March 15, 1980, Brian was married to Joanne Ryan. For a number of years , Brian was employed as a meat cutter at various locations, most recently with Chanatry's Market, Utica. He was a member of St. Joseph- St. Patrick's Church in Utica and the UFCW Local One. Brian was a sport enthusiast, mostly enjoying hunting and fishing. Brian is survived by a son; Christopher of Utica, 2 brothers and sister in laws; Robert M. and Kathleen Jones of Sauquoit, and Jeffrey and Cynthia Jones of Ravina, NY. He also leaves nieces and nephews and his special care-giver and friend Joanne Ryan. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother; Richard K. Jones. Mr. Jones's funeral will be held on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 9:45 am from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and at 10:30 at St. Joseph's-St. Patrick's Church where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. His burial will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitestown. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held from 3 till 5 Sunday afternoon.
