Kathleen "Tim" Roberts, 88, of Ridge Rd., Utica, a resident at the Presbyterian Home for CNY, passed away December 28, 2010. Tim was born in Utica, NY, on September 5, 1922, the daughter of Fred and Anna (Murphy) Sweet. She was raised and educated in Utica. She later attended the Utica School of Commerce. On May 30, 1946, at St. Peter's Church, Utica, Tim was married to Douglas Hollaran. Mr. Hollaran passed away in 1972. On February 11, 1977, at Blessed Sacrament Church, Utica, she was married to Richard Roberts. For a number of years, until her retirement, she was employed with the Nichols Business Equipment Co. Tim was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and a former member of Blessed Sacrament Church. Tim is survived by her devoted husband, Dick; a son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Donna Hollaran, of Denver, CO; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Paul Heintz, of Clinton, and Judy and Peter Tartaglia, of New Hartford. She also leaves five grandchildren, Emily and Katy Heintz, and Kristin, Laura and Peter Tartaglia, and a life long special friend, Gerry Weimer. Tim was also predeceased by a sister, Marion Duffy, and a brother, Nicholas Sweet. A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Roberts will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Thursday, (Today) December 30, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Her burial will be at St. Agnes Cemetery. The family will greet guests at the conclusion of mass. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the Cedar Unit of the Presbyterian Home for all the years of care and kindness shown Tim and her family. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory would be appreciated to the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available.
