Brenda Lorreen Giudici Plungis, beloved wife, mother and respected local businesswoman passed away following a short, unexpected illness. She was born in Barre, VT on May 8, 1950, a daughter to Frank W. and Marie Fernandez Giudici, both deceased, and lifetime residents of Barre. Brenda graduated from Spaulding High School, class of '68, and went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education at Plymouth State College in 1972. She began teaching in nearby, Bristol, NH where she taught for 10 years. During her teaching time she met the love of her life Henry (Hank) Plungis of Linden, NJ and following a lengthy courtship, they were married in 1980. Shortly after, Brenda and Hank acquired Heritage Acres in Utica, NY and settled down making it their home and permanent residence for some 20 years. Brenda was very outgoing and hard working, often lending a helping hand to assist friends of hers, her children, or neighbors with any number of difficult tasks they may have encountered, never losing her teaching instincts. She loved the outdoors spending countless days at the family camp in Remsen, NY, hiking and exploring the Adirondacks, donning camouflage and joining Hank on hunting outings as an interested observer. She loved traveling and exploring small towns of rural New York and New England for antiques, the scenery, and enjoyed meeting and talking with the local folks. For a number of years Brenda worked with Boy Scouts Troop #115 at St. Mark's Church where she served as a counselor for a variety of merit badges including citizenship. Brenda's joys were her family, pets, scout's achievements, helping others and cooking She leaves behind he husband, Hank; her son, Christopher Scott,, student at Mohawk Valley Community College; her daughter, Catherine Marie, student at Whitesboro High School; her brother Frank H.
