Terry J. Kohl 34 of Brody Dr., Utica passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 11, 2010 due to a motor vehicle accident. Terry was born in Syracuse, NY on October 4, 1975 the son of Richard and Carolyn (Kazek) Kohl. He was raised and educated in Utica and was a graduate of Proctor High School. Terry furthered his education at HCCC, where he received a degree in criminal justice. He has been employed with the security department at MVCC, where he recently received his ten year award for time of service. On March 14, 2003, Terry was married to Gina Citrin. Terry was proud to have been an Eagle Scout and during his youth a player with AYSO Soccer. He was of the Catholic Faith. Terry is survived by a daughter Riley Rose and her mother Gina, his parents Richard and Carolyn of Utica, two brothers and a sister in law; Kelly and Lynn Kohl and their son Michael of New Hartford, and Randy Kohl of Utica, his two grandmothers; Jane Kazek of Boonville and Helen Kohl of Boonville, an aunt and uncle; Dan and Pat Kazek of Boonville and several other aunts, uncles and cousins. A graveside funeral service for Terry will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Boonville NY. Calling hours will be held from 4-7 Tuesday (today), at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer, N. Utica. In lieu of flowers, donation in Terry's memory would be appreciated to a trust fund to be set in his daughter name Riley Rose.
