Ada B. (Adorino) Mulvihill, 82, of Clinton, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2010, at the St. Luke's Home in New Hartford. Ada was born on October 2, 1927 in Rochester, NY, the daughter of Anthony and Philomena (Ferraro) Adorino. She was raised and educated in Utica and a graduate of Proctor High School. Ada was employed with General Electric, and later with Flint's Jewelry Store, and finally as a seamstress with a bridal shop in downtown Utica before retiring in the late 1950's to raise her family. Ada is a former member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church, New Hartford and was a proud member of their church choir. She was a more recent member of St. Thomas Church, New Hartford. Ada is survived by her husband, Tom Mulvihill, Clinton; her daughter, Gail Pears, Sunshine Coast, Australia; as well as by many dear nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by a son, Mark Mulvihill; a sister, Gloria Malone; and two brothers, Anthony Adorino, Jr. and Bernard Adorino. Mrs. Mulvihill's funeral will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, New Hartford where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment in St. Agnes Cemetery, Utica will take place at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call at the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 East Park Row, Clinton on Wednesday evening, from 5 - 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may donate to a charity of your choice in Ada's memory.
