Mr. Raymond N. Mercado, 28 of Utica passed away on Monday June 28, 2010 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare in New Hartford. Raymond was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 21, 1982 the son of Anna Roche and the late Jose Mercado and received his education on Long Island and Maryland. Raymond enjoyed computers, gaming on Play Station 3 and was of the Catholic faith. Raymond is survived by his mother, Anna Roche of Utica; grandfather Andrew Roche of Utica; two sisters, Lynn Roche and her fiancée Lynn Pett and Brittany Roche both of Utica; son Tony Moonan of Rome and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Carol Roche. Raymond's funeral will be held on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St. Utica. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery in Utica. Calling hours for family and friends are Thursday from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
