Leroy W. Leuthauser, 86 of North Utica , passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 in St. Luke's Hospital. Leroy was born in Utica on September 10, 1923 a son of Leroy W. and Mary (Ryan) Leuthauser, Sr. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. In Utica on April 14, 1956 Leroy married Marie Agnes Fairbrother a blessed union of 42 years until her passing away on July 28, 1998. For over 31 years until his retirement in 1985 Leroy was employed at Griffiss Air Force Base. He attended St. Joseph's & St. Patrick's Church and was a member of AARP. Leroy also enjoyed gardening and in his younger years he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Leroy is survived by his son, Leroy W. Leuthauser, III, Marcy. He was predeceased by two brothers, Albert and Nelson Leuthauser. Mr. Leuthauser's funeral service will be held on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 11:00 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Utica. Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday morning from 9-11.
