Steven F. Carino, 56, of Walker Rd. N. Utica passed away on May 29, 2010 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Steven was born on March 5, 1954, the son of Frank and Marilyn (Bord) Carino. He was raised and educated in Utica and attended UFA. On November 27, 1982, in St. Mark's Church, Steven married Toni Gigliotti. For many years Steven was employed in Sales at Paolozzi's in Marcy and part-time at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #97, where he was Vice President. He was a big car buff and an avid golfer and New York Giants fan. Most of all he loved his home and being there with his "angel" Toni. Steven is survived by his wife, Toni; mother and father, Frank and Marilyn Carino, Deerfield; mother-in-law and father-in-law, James and Roberta Gigliotti, Utica; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Elaine Carino, Utica, Karen and Buddy Riggs, WA and Christine Carino, Utica; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Angelo and Sandy Carino, Silverdale, WA, Vincent and Cherlyn Carino, Ilion, and Ed and Cathy Carino, Cassville, NY; two brothers-in-law, James Gigliotti and his wife Donna, Utica and Richard Gigliotti, Cicero, NY; one sister-in-law, Deborah Bilodeau and her husband Robert, Utica, several nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and his canine "girl" Mippy (Missy). He was pre-deceased by his brother Frank Carino Jr. in 2002. Mr. Carino's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday June 3, 2010 at 10:30 am in St. Mark's Church, North Utica. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., North Utica, will be Wednesday (today) from 4 - 7 pm. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the ICU staff at St. Elizabeth Medical Center for the care and compassion shown to Steven during his long stay.
