Obituary of Mary Catherine Bamberger

Mrs. Mary Catherine Bamberger, a resident of the Presbyterian Home for CNY and lifelong resident of the Mohawk Valley passed away on Monday May 24, 2010 at the nursing home with her loving family by her side. Mary was born in Ilion NY and received her education in Utica Schools. On June 7, 1947, Mary married Albert Joseph Bamberger in Utica a devoted union of 37 years until Albert's death in 1984. Mary was a member and past president of the NY Telephone Pioneers, past president of the Dela-Bahia condo Association in Stuart, Fl and a member of the Frankfort Hill Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, knitting and was of the Catholic faith. Mrs. Bamberger is survived by her six children, Michael and Christine Bamberger of Rome, NY, Steven and Marianne Bamberger of San Antonio, TX, Brian and Linda Bamberger of Mattydale, NY, Richard and Jane Bamberger of Cobleskill, NY, Christine and Paul Roylance of Loudonville, NY and Karen Bamberger of Ilion, NY; a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Stafford Hanna of MA; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Inge Brennan of MA; 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Robert Brennan. Mrs. Bamberger's funeral will be held on Friday May 28, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Whitesboro. Calling hours for family and friends are Friday from 11:00-1:00 prior to the service.
