Carol N. Levesque, 66, of Stark St., Utica, passed away May 6, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, after a brief illness. Carol was born in Utica, NY, on May 10, 1943, the daughter of Michael and Anna (Bremer) Raga. She was raised and educated in Utica. On June 17, 1961, Carol was married to Alton E. Levesque. Alton passed away in 2009. For a number of years, Carol worked as a cashier with various retail businesses, notably Bradlees and the Salvation Army. She was a member of St. Joseph's-St. Patrick's Church, Utica. Carol is survived by two daughters, Linda Patterson, of Utica, and Missy Levesque, of Utica; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Joseph and Cathy Levesque, of Buffalo, David Levesque, of TX, Alton, Jr., and Theresa, of ME, and Michael Levesque of Utica. She leaves nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Raga, of FL; one brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law, Reuben and Hope Levesque, of TX, Louise Kirby, of Malone, NY, and Pat Coyne, of MA; also, Grandma Helen; several nieces and nephews; her special friends, Marge and Jeff Gagnon; and her three canine companions, Brandon, Brittany and Pedro. She was predeceased by two sisters, Audrey Groszek and Sharon McDonald. Mrs. Levesque's funeral will be held Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's-St. Patrick's Church, Utica. Her burial will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Whitestown. Calling hours will be held at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica, on Monday evening from 5-8. Carol's family would like to make a special thank you to the staff at St. Elizabeth Medical Center and the Sitrin Rehabilitation Center for all their care and kindness during her stay.
