Mrs. Margaret M. Weigand, 86 of N. Utica passed away on Monday April 26, 2010 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare in New Hartford. Margaret was born in Utica on January 18, 1924 the daughter of George and Alice (Burns) Schultz. She was raised and educated in Utica, and on April 22, 1950 at St. Agnes Church, Utica she married Julius F. Weigand. For several years Margaret was employed with the Oneita Knitting Mill in Utica. She was a parishioner of St. Peter's Church, N. Utica. Margaret is survived by her husband of 60 years, Julius, two daughters and son-in-law, Margaret and Daniel Bolton, CA, and Sharon Weigand, Whitesboro, four sons and daughters-in-law, William and Nancy Weigand, N. Tonawanda, NY, Robert and Deborah Weigand, Marcy, James and Linda Weigand, Auburn, ME and Thomas and Cristina Weigand, Deerfield, ten grandchildren, Gregory Weigand, Steven Weigand, Christopher Weigand, Mary Bolton, Dean Bolton, Jordan Weigand, Matthew Weigand, Erin Weigand, Quintin Weigand and Morgan Weigand, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Angie Schultz, New York Mills, and William and Lucille Schultz, Utica, and many nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by a brothers and sister-in-law, George (Bud) and Grace Schultz and a sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Carl Henry. Mrs. Weigand's funeral will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 9:15 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica and at 10:00 from St. Peter's Church, N. Utica. Burial will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery, N. Utica. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday from 4-7. The family would like to extend a special thank you and great appreciation to Margaret's nieces, Mrs. Peg Roberts, Fran Henry and Mrs. Wreathe Treonze.
