Mr. Stephen A. Lassonde, 57 of Utica passed away unexpectedly on Friday April 23, 2010. Stephen was born in Utica NY on December 22, 1952 the son of Roland and Arvila Howard Lassonde. He attended local schools and was a graduate of UFA. In his younger years, Stephen took flying lessons. For many years, he was employed with Hess gas station on Oriskany St. and in his later years with various restaurants in the area. He was at one time a member of Grace Church and was of the Episcopal faith. Stephen was a very avid reader, had a extensive knowledge of the Bible and enjoyed doing his crossword puzzles daily. Stephen is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Kenneth Eddy; A brother, William Bryant; nieces and nephews, David & Cindy Eddy, Suzanne & Raymond Ulrich, Pamela and Kurt DiNardo, God daughter, Linda and Chris Christian, William Bryant and his fiancée Melinda Boehlert and Alan Bryant and friend, Shannon Lindfield; great nieces and nephews, Patrick, Kristina, Marc, Bryttani, Raymond, Christopher, William Michael and Kyle; great great niece, Brianna and many cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Arvila in 2009, great nephew Kurt DiNardo in 2006 and sister-in-law, Margaret Bryant in 2000. Mr. Lassonde's funeral will be held on Wednesday April 28, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. Calling hours for family and friends are Tuesday (today) from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
