Bettye C. Gualillo, 88, of North Utica and formerly of Yorkville passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Bettye was born in Utica on September 25, 1921, a daughter of the late Lester and Mildred (Kropp) Conklin. In 1942 Bettye married Thomas Davis, he passed away in 1986. In 1993 she married Frank Gualillo. For many years until its closing, Bettye was employed with the Chicago Pneumatic Tool Co., then later with Gordon Williams Real Estate Co. She was a former member of the Moose Club and the Utica Maennerchor. Bettye and Frank resided in Florida during the winter, for many years. Bettye is survived by her husband, Frank, two daughters and sons-in-law; Diane and John Moore, of New Hartford and Cynthia and Mark Foresti, Deerfield, two sons and daughter-in-law; Brian Davis and Evelani Casey of Schuyler and Scott and Kari Davis of Cicero, NY, stepchildren; Frank and Sue Gualillo, Jr., IL, Nancy and Roger Honey, IL, and Dee DiGioia, CA, 10 grandchildren and spouses; lisa and John Caveny, Michele and Matt Ryan, Erin DelBuono, Brian Davis, Alexis Davis, Nicholas Foresti, Samantha Foresti, Michael Foresti, Kyle Davis and Alaina Davis, a nephew; Lester and Cathy Conklin, III, New Hartford and their family, 4 great grandchildren and 6 step grandchildren. Bettye was predeceased by a brother, Lester Conklin, Jr. Mrs. Gualillo's funeral service will be held on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 6:00 P.M. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., North Utica. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday from 4-6. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Lynn Afinowich of Angel Care and her nurses, and to Dr's, Scott Brehaut and Thomas Mathew for all the loving care they gave to Bettye.
