Eric John Parucki, 37, of Chicago, IL, formerly of Clinton and Buffalo, NY, died at St. Elizabeth Medical Center on December 25, 2009, from complications after a heart attack. He is survived by his wife, Alison Ladd. He was born on October 24, 1972 in Cheektowaga, NY, to John and Kathleen Parucki. He moved to Clinton, NY in 1984. He was a 1990 graduate of Clinton Central High School. He received his Associate's Degree in Journalism from SUNY Morrisville in 1992. He also attended the University of Massachusetts in Boston and later in Lowell. He lived in Boston, MA; Washington, D.C.; New York City, NY; and Chicago, IL. He was a long-time consultant for Collective Technologies, the Chief Technology Officer for MISI, and currently a Project Manager for EMC in the field of computer technology. He began playing hockey at the age of five for the Depew Saints and then played for the Clinton Youth Hockey Organization. He played on the Blue Bombers and Homer's Heroes in adult leagues in New York City and was presently playing with the Shockers in an adult league in suburban Chicago. He was an avid hockey fan as well. His love for the Buffalo Sabres knew no bounds. Recently, he became a great fan of the Chicago Blackhawks, traveling with his wife to Helsinki, Finland for their 2009 season opener. He loved good food and wine. He delighted in cooking for his family and friends. Most of all, he will be remembered for his sense of humor. He brought a smile to many faces. Eric was the brother of Kevin and Lisa, the brother-in-law of Thaddeus, Sharon, and Gene, and the uncle of Lilly and Holly. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Dec. 31 in St. Gabriel's Church, Elma, NY. He will be buried in Buffalo, NY at a later date. Donations may be considered to Hockey Fights Cancer, P.O.
