John P. Siringo, 56, of Utica passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. John was born in New Hartford on August 12, 1961, a son of the late Eugene and Loretta (DeCarr) Siringo. He was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. For several years John was employed at Mohawk Valley Community College. At one time he was married to Eileen Walker. John is survived by his two children, John Siringo, Jr., of Utica and Stacy Siringo, of Utica, two sisters, Sheila Siringo-Irizarry, of Utica and Mary Friedlander, of Whitesboro, his godmother, Marianne Saunders and his former wife and good friend, Eileen Walker. John was predeceased by his parents, his grandmother, Margaret DeCarr, with whom he had a close relationship, a brother, Vincent Siringo and his godfather, Raymond DeCarr. Memorial calling hours for John will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 12:00 – 1:45 at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica, with a prayer service at 1:45.
