Eva H. Schrader, 83, of the Presbyterian Home and formerly of New York Mills passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2009. Eva was born in Utica on August 12, 1926 a daughter of Leo P. and Eva (LaVoie) Schrader, Sr. For many years Eva was employed at the Utica Psychiatric Center then for over 20 years she was employed with the Heintz Funeral Home. She was a member of Historic Old St. John's Church, Utica and was active with many of the organizations of the church. Eva was honored by the church for her devotion to the Wednesday Night Program dedicated to the handicapped in the area. Eva is survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends. She was predeceased by 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Eva's funeral will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 10:15 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St, Utica and at 11:00 from Historic Old St. John's Church, Utica. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday (Today) from 4-6. Our sincere thanks to the staff of the Presbyterian Home for the wonderful care and support given to Eva during her stay there.
