Geraldine “Gerry” Gregory, 86, of the Sodus Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and formerly of North Utica, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 22, 2018. Geraldine was born in Holland Patent on August 30, 1931, a daughter of George C. and Nellie (Evans) Fallon. She was employed at many local restaurants through the years as a waitress and bartender, retiring from American Legion Post # 229 in North Utica. At one time she was married to George Gregory. Gerry is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Edward Dineen, of Sterling, NY, two grandsons, Patrick Dineen, of Liverpool, NY and Ryan Dineen and wife, Sarah, of Liverpool, NY, a great grandson, Mason Dineen, a sister, Betty Jakubowski, of Marcy, a sister-in-law, Carol Fallon, of Floyd and many nieces and nephews. Geraldine was predeceased by a son, James Fallon in 1967, a brother, Lester Fallon and a brother-in-law, Henry Jakubowski. Calling hours for Mrs. Gregory will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 4-6 at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica with a prayer service to be held at 6:00. Burial in the Holland Patent Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. Those so wishing may make donations to the American Legion Post # 229 in Geraldine’s memory.
