Mrs. Linda Marie Quesnelle Jones, 61 of Utica passed away on Wednesday November 11, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Linda was born in Utica on October 30, 1948 the daughter of the late James F. Quesnelle and Pauline Marie Collette Quesnelle Turturo. She was educated in the Utica area and also at Brushton-Moria Central and St. Regis Falls School. On October 16, 1976 she married Bruce Fredrick Jones. Bruce died in 1999. For many years, she was employed at HTC. Linda was a co-founder and first president of the Handicap People of the Mohawk Valley. She loved to volunteer and help other people and make them happy. She will be fondly remembered by her family for always saying, "your not gonna like this, but it's not my fault." Mrs. Jones is survived by one sister, Judy Turturo; two brothers, Michael Turturo and David Turturo and his wife Donna; nephew, Jamie Quesnelle and his girlfriend Angela Whaley; niece Michelle Quesnelle; a special cousin, Patty Young and a sister-in-law, Patti Jones. Also surviving are several great nieces, great nephews and of course, her many beloved pets. She was predeceased by two brothers, Nick Turturo and Rodney Quesnelle, Sr. and one sister, Mary Marie Quesnelle. Mrs. Jones' funeral will be held on Monday November 16, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph St. Patrick Church in Utica where her mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will be held at the convenience of her family. Calling hours for family and friends are Monday morning from 10:00-12:00 at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica.
