Carolyn K. Wagner, 90, a resident of Heritage Health Care Center, formerly of Clinton, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2009 at the nursing home. Carolyn was born in Utica on May 28, 1919, the daughter of Francis and Theresa (March) Kelly. She was raised and educated in Utica, graduating from St. Francis de Sales High School. On February 12, 1945, Carolyn married Monroe E. Wagner. Mr. Wagner passed away in 1982. Carolyn was employed by the Utica Municipal Housing Authority, retiring in 1976. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Clinton. Carolyn is survived by a daughter, Janis Wagner, Boston, MA; a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Jill Wagner, Utica; four grandchildren, Thomas and Sara Wagner, Jacksonville, FL, Kristyn and Bradley Leon, Mt. Pleasant, SC; Brian and Kristin Wagner, Clark Mills, NY; Mark Wagner, Boston, MA; two great grandchildren, Graham Wagner and Adam Leon; two brothers, Rev. Msgr. William Kelly, Utica, Rev. Vincent Kelly, Oriskany Falls. She is predeceased by two sisters, Frances Kelly (who passed away as a child) and Mary Vanderwater, and two brothers, Robert Kelly and Edward Kelly. Mrs. Wagner's funeral will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Church, Clinton where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by her brother, Rev. Vincent Kelly, and her nephew, Rev. Robert Kelly. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Yorkville. Relatives and friends may call at the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 East Park Row, Clinton on Wednesday evening from 4 - 7 pm.
