Philomena Zinicola, 89, a resident of the Heritage Healthcare Center, formerly of Utica, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2009 at the home. Philomena was born in Utica on September 24, 1919, the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Circelli) Moschetti. She was raised and educated locally. Philomena was employed by Jet Cleaners in Yorkville, retiring at the age of 62. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting. Philomena was a member of St. Mary Mt. Carmel Church. Philomena is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Dorothy Zinicola, Whitesboro; her daughter and son-in-law, Rosalie and John W. Maliani, Utica; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren, Christine and Doug Fobare and their children, Tyler, Trevor, and Tara; John A. Maliani; David and Kelly Zinicola and their children, Sophia and David; Andrea and Raymond Hewitt and their daughter, Hannah. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Philomena is predeceased by three brothers, Louis, Patrick and John Moschetti. Mrs. Zinicola's funeral will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 10:30 am in St. Mary Mt. Carmel Church where her Mass of Christian Burial will take place. Interment will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery, Utica. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are entrusted to the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., Utica.
