Mrs. Marylou Zenobio, 73 of Utica passed away on Tuesday June 9, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Marylou was born in Utica on March 8, 1936 the daughter of William and Edna (Hoole) Gagnon. She was raised locally and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. In 1954 Marylou married Pasquale (Patsy) Zenobio at St. Patrick's Church in Utica, a union of 52 years until Pasquale's death in 2006. For many years, she was employed with Beaunit Fibers and later with Mele Manufacturing. Marylou was a parishioner of St. Joseph St. Patrick Church in Utica. She was an avid bingo player and received her greatest joy cooking her special Sunday dinners for her family. Her life centered around her family especially her grandchildren who were the light of her life. Mrs. Zenobio is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Patrick and Cheryl Zenobio of Utica and Jimmy Zenobio and his fiancée Theresa Jennings and her sons, Justin, Anthony and Nick; two daughters and a son-in-law, Kim Zenobio and Greg Baranowski of Utica and Heather and Bo Korzeniowski of Utica; six cherished grandchildren, Brandi and Kristi Zenobio and Danielle, Alexandria, John and Jayana Korzeniowski; one beloved great granddaughter, Alyssa Zenobio; five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Alice Hool, Betty Palmer, Roseann and James Magee, Arlene Appler and Jacqueline and Manuel King; four brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Cynthia Gagnon, Raymond and Rosemary Gagnon, Robert and Wanda Gagnon and Edward and Sharon Gagnon; a brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Tony and Elaine Zenobio and Antoinette DeSantis and many niece and nephews including a special nephew, Matthew Tyoe. She was predeceased by three brothers, William, James and Joseph Gagnon and five brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, Joseph Appler, William Palmer, Bert Hool, Mike DeSantis and Don and Mary Brower. Mrs. Zenobio's funeral will be held on Friday June 12, 2009 at 10:15 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and 11:00 at St. Joseph St. Patrick Church where her mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Yorkville. Calling hours for family and friends are Thursday (today) from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Mrs. Zenobio's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Utica Fire Department, Dr. Wassyl and the staff of 3C at St. Elizabeth Medical Center for the wonderful care you provided to Marylou. Also a special thank you to Dr. Kevin Matthews for the many years of dedicated care and compassion you provided to our mother.
