Larry Getz, 43, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 2, 2009. Larry was born in New Hartford on December 15, 1965, the son of Lawrence T. and Geri Getz. He was a veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division of the US Army and of the US Air Force Reserves. He was a graduate of MVCC and SUNY IT. He was employed as an RN at Pinefield, working with troubled children. In August of 2000, Larry married Jennifer Graham, and had lived in Clark Mills. They have since separated in 2008, and he currently had resided with his parents in Utica. Larry leaves to mourn his two daughters, Ryan and Kallie; his parents, Lawrence and Geri; his sister, Jennifer; and his bro', Christopher. Also surviving are his aunts and uncles, Cynthia (Charles) Aldi, Barbara (Wayne) Swisloski, Bernadette (Byron) Sperry, and Amil Getz; his cousins, Rachael, Karen, Michael, Jason, Shelly, Scott, and Christian; his grandmother, Rose Getz; in-laws, Barbara and Frank Manders, and Dave and Don Graham. He was predeceased by his Nani and Pa, Dorothy Dear and Gerry Holdridge. Mr. Getz's funeral service will be held Friday evening, June 5, 2009, at 7:00 pm at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Road, North Utica. Interment will take place on Saturday at 10:00 am in Forest Hill Cemetery, Utica. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 4 - 7 pm, prior to the funeral service.
