Mrs. Judy M. Schram, 71, of N. Utica, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare in New Hartford with her loving family by her side. Judy was born in Utica, on January 16, 1947 the daughter of Albert and Mary (Gaffney) Boehlert. She was raised and educated in Utica, was a graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School in Utica, the College of St. Rose in Albany and earned her Masters degree from SUNY Oswego. On August 19, 1972, Judy was united in Marriage to Charles Schram, a loving and devoted union of 34 years until Charles’ death in 2006. For many years, she was employed as a teacher with Poland Central School, later Sacred Heart in Utica and most recently, until her retirement with the Utica City School District. Judy enjoyed bowling, swimming, baking, and was an excellent golfer. She also had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes. Mrs. Schram is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and John Piszko of NJ and Jill and Brian Winfield of Utica; four cherished grandchildren, Emma and Charlotte Piszko and Ryder and Marin Winfield; one sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Don Skermont of Utica as well as several nieces and nephews including two special nephews, Rich Skermont of Frankfort and Nate Skermont of MA; She was predeceased by four sisters, Jeanne, Doris, Carol and Diane and three brothers, Albert, James and Edward. A celebration of Judy’s life will be held on Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m. -12 noon at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica.
