Mrs. Mae Sack, 83 a resident of the Martin Luther Home, Clinton, formerly of Herkimer Rd., N. Utica passed away Thursday May 7, 2009 at the nursing home. Mae was born in Tully, NY on May 1, 1926 the daughter of Harry and Gertrude (Atwood) Marks. She was raised and educated in Tully and was a graduate of Tully Central High School. For many years she was employed with St. Luke's Memorial Hospital and was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Utica. Mrs. Sack is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Agnes Sack of Utica; her daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Michael Roffe of Hamlin, NY; a son-in-law, Jerry Williams of Forestport, NY; daughter-in-law, Sue Sack of Cleveland, NY; one sister, Lucille Hamilton of Cortland, NY and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Carl Sack, daughter, Nannette Williams, one brother and three sisters. Mrs. Sack's funeral will be held on Tuesday May 12, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica and 10:00 at All Saints Episcopal Church, Faxton St., Utica. Burial will follow in Olden Barneveld Cemetery in Barneveld, NY. Calling hours for family and friends are Monday 5:00-8:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in Mae's memory may consider the American Cancer Society.
