Mr. Kenneth F. Gotte, Sr., 80, of Marcy, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica with his loving family by his side. Kenneth was born in Utica on March 16, 1938, the son of John and Priscilla (St. Dennis) Gotte. He was raised and educated in Utica and was a graduate of Proctor High School. At one time, Ken was married to Barbara (Cosco) Gotte. He later married Sharon Pimpinella. For many years, Ken was a self-employed mason contractor, Kenneth F. Gotte Masonry in Marcy, NY. He was a true family man who enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s many sporting events, school functions and special occasions in their lives. He was of the Catholic faith. Mr. Gotte is survived by his wife, Sharon; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Ken Gotte, Jr. and Sue Denato of Utica and Steve and Deanna Gotte of Marcy; four cherished grandchildren, Bianca Gotte, Gianna Gotte, Maxx Gotte and Christian Gotte; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Dennis and Nancy Gotte of Rochester, Lenny and Elaine Gotte of Oneida, John (Jack) Gotte of Utica, Raymond Gotte of Rochester and Linda Gotte of Sauquoit as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Yvonne Florentino and Aline Lee and two brothers, Alfred Gotte and Salvatore Gotte. Mr. Gotte’s funeral will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. His interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Utica.
