Mrs. Marlene R. Mott, 75 of NY Mills passed away on Saturday February 7, 2009 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford. Marlene was born in Utica on April 25, 1933 the daughter of Felix and Ethel (Moon) Clarke and received her education in local schools. She was married to Rocco Alsante until his death in 1974. For many years, Marlene was employed with Courtview Restaurant in Utica until her retirement in 1996. Mrs. Mott is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Debra and Joseph Wojcik of Marcy and Sandra Alsante of Cape Cod, MA; one son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Sandy Swift of FL; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Fran and Arthur Parshal and Patricia and Dominick Teti all of Floyd and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Darrel Swift in 1996, a sister, Adelia Coe and a brother, Junior Clarke. Mrs. Mott's funeral will be held on Wednesday February 11, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Utica. Calling hours for family and friends are Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Those so wishing may consider a donation to the American Heart Association in Marlene's memory.
