Mrs. Regina Joan Jessmore, 69 of Utica gained her heavenly citizenship on Tuesday November 25, 2008. Her loving family was at her side at the time of her passing. Regina was born in Utica on September 18, 1939 the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (Ransom) Voce and received her education in Utica schools. On May 1, 1961 Regina married Howard William Jessmore, Jr., at Historic Old St. John's Church in Utica. For 15 years she was employed in the rehabilitation department at Faxton Hospital, retiring in 1996. Regina was an active and devoted member of New Testament Church in Rome. Her deep spirituality and strong respect for humanity enabled her to support missionaries and the wonderful work they do. Mrs. Jessmore is survived by her loving and devoted children, Elizabeth Jessmore and Howard William Jessmore Jr., Both of Utica; two sisters and three brothers-in-law, Jane and Jack Townsend of Texas, Maureen and John Prumo of Marcy and William True of Utica; four brothers and sisters-in-law, William Voce of New Hartford, John and Virginia Voce of Utica, Robert and Samantha Voce of Utica, Donald and Lana Voce of Cicero, NY and Joan Voce of Utica and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Howard, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Francis and Harry Kates, Gertrude True and Robert Bevins and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Francis Voce, Eugene Voce and Jean Voce. Mrs. Jessmore's funeral will be held on Saturday November 29, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica with Rev. Dr. Magead Salloum officiating. Interment will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park in Kirkland.
