Mr. Timothy P. Burke, 52 of Utica passed away on Wednesday November 19, 2008 at his home with his beloved wife, Robin, Step son Jonathan and sister-in-law, Debbie by his side. Timothy was born in Utica on December 18, 1955 the son of Robert and Alice (Dixon) Burke. He was raised locally, was a 1974 Graduate of Whitesboro High school, graduating with high honors and was the record holder of the 100 yard dash for some time. Timothy earned his bachelors degree from Gettysburg College in 1979 as a member of Phi Gamma Delta honor society. On October 15, 2005, Timothy married Robin H. Mowers in Richfield Springs, NY. For a number of years he was employed with Yorkville Brake and most recently with Parkway Drugs on French Rd. in Utica. Timothy was a member of the Moose Lodge in Marcy, a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Utica and was an avid NY Yankee fan. He received the greatest joy from his family and truly loved family gatherings. Mr. Burke is survived by his beloved wife, Robin; his step-daughter, Patricia Toher of Staten Island, NY; two step-sons, Michael Toher of Elizabethtown, KY and Jonathan Georgia of Utica; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Pat and Cindy Burke of Las Vegas, NV and Sean and Cori Burke of New Hartford; three grandchildren, Gia, Ashlyn and Allison Toher and a niece and three nephews, Brandon, Austin, Devin and Alicen Burke. Mr. Burke's memorial mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday November 29, 2008 at 12:00 noon at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Utica. Relatives and friends may call at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica on Saturday November 29, from 9:00-11:30 prior to leaving for church.
