Donna Joan Hannigan Waclawik, 77, of Utica, New York passed away Monday, October 20, 2008 at Faxton-St. Luke's Hospital, New Hartford. Donna was born April 28, 1931 in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of James and Emma Swift Hannigan. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Procter High School. Donna married Joseph T. Waclawik July 4, 1953 in Utica. Mr. Waclawik died January 7, 1987. Donna had been employed by The West End Brewing Company for many years and later retired from Fleet Bank. She was of the Presbyterian faith. Donna is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Kathleen and David Dare, Fort Worth, TX, Patti Craven, New Hartford, NY; four grandchildren, Shawn M. Reesh, New Hartford, NY, Emily Keller, Rome, NY, Joshua W. Holden, Winchester, VA, and Lauren E. Eiler, Los Angeles, CA. Also surviving is Bridey, her beloved dog and loyal companion of more than ten years. Besides her husband, she is predeceased by a daughter, Gail Diane Keller, on March 4, 1984. A memorial service for Mrs. Waclawik will be held at a later date to be announced. Those wishing may donate to the Stevens-Swan Humane Society in Donna's memory.
