Samuel C. Tardiff, 23, of Holland Patent and formerly of New Hartford passed away Thursday October 16, 2008 in St. Luke's Hospital. Sam was born in Utica on September 19, 1985 the son of Gregory Tardiff and Diana Annibale Tardiff. He attended Albany St. School and later BOCES at Westmoreland Elementary School. Currently he was attending Day Habilitation at Four Seasons at Stark St. Sam loved to swim, dance and listen to music. Sam is survived by his mother, Diana Tardiff, Concord, MA, his father, Gregory Tardiff, Sylvan Beach, NY, paternal grandfather; Richard Tardiff, Whitesboro, his maternal grandparents; William and Helen Rausche, Utica, his sister; Jermaine Tardiff, Utica, his brother; Oliver Tardiff, Utica, a nephew; Benjamin Belile, Utica, aunts and uncles; Jonathan Tardiff, Jane Zingelman, Benjamin Tardiff, Daniel Tardiff, Andrew Tardiff, Mary Ellen Doherty, and Susan Lloyd, and their families, a great aunt; Mary Jane Yanney and his special friend of 15 years Chris Neilson. Sam was predeceased by his grandmother; Teresa Tardiff, his step grandmother; Louise Tardiff and his uncle; Christopher Annibale. Calling hours for Sam will be held on Monday, October 20, 2008 from 10:00-12:00 at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica with a funeral service to follow immediately at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro, NY.
