Obituary of Frances M. Burke

Frances M. Burke, 70, passed away on January 30, 2018 at University Hospital. Frances was born in Utica on December 22, 1947, a daughter of William V. and Gertrude A. (McCarthy) Burke. She was educated locally graduating from Proctor High School. At one time she was married to Joseph Zdyb. Frances was a phenomenal sketch artist and avid painter. She was an extremely dedicated voter, persuasive in urging others to exercise their right to vote and was proud to belong to the League of Women’s Voters. Frances is survived by her loving companion of over 25 years, Dennis Doughterty, three daughters, Crista Burke, Melissa Gibson and Billie Decker and a brother, William Burke. Memorial visitation for Frances will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica.
