Rosemary F. Wagner, 87, a resident of St. Joseph's Nursing Home, Utica, formerly of Amy Ave., passed away at the home September 26, 2008, with her loving family at her side. Rosemary was born in Utica, NY April 1, 1921, the daughter of Francis & Mary Hurst Jenny. She was raised and educated in Utica school system. On September 2, 1942 at St. Josephs Church, Utica, Rosemary was married to Raymond G. Wagner. Mr. Wagner passed away in 1978. She was a former member of St. Josephs- St. Patrick's of Utica, the 3rd order of St. Francis, the Altar Rosary Society of St. Joseph's Church, a volunteer at St. Elizabeth's Hospital Sewing Room for a number of years, and a member of the Tresians. Rosemary was a devoted housewife and mother. Rosemary is survived by her twelve children; seven daughters and five son-in-laws. Sr. Rose Raymond Wagner, O.S.F. of Skaneatles, NY, Marie Wagner, of Olathe, KS., Elaine and her husband, Joseph Vennaro of Marcy, NY, Joann and Jeffrey Szalkowski of Utica, Catherine and her husband, James Miller of Utica, Marcianne and her husband Matt Wagner-Heaton of Leawood, KS., and Elizabeth and her husband, Steve Paul of Exeter, NH. Five sons and daughter-in-laws; Tom and Lois Wagner of New Hartford, George and Amy Gross-Wagner of New York City, NY, Paul and Karen Wagner of New Hartford, Stephen Wagner and Richelle Hawks of Little Falls, and Philip and Cathy Wagner of Rush, NY. She also leaves thirty grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, one sister; Bernice Ball of Pearl River, NY, a brother and sister-in-law, William and Ann Jenny of Rochester, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Rosemary was predeceased by one brother; Robert Jenny. Rosemary's family would like to make a special thank you to the staff of St. Joseph's Nursing Home for the special care shown to Rosemary and her family during her stay. Mrs. Wagner's funeral will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at 11:00 at St. Joseph-St. Patrick Church, Utica, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Her burial will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Whitestown. Calling hours at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica, will be held Monday (today), September 29, 2008, from 4-8 p.m. Donations in Rosemary's memory would be appreciated to the St. Josephs Nursing Home, Utica.
