William H. Hulser (Bill) Clinton, NY Mr. William H. Hulser, 76, of Clinton, NY, went to be with our Lord on Monday, March 12, 2007, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Utica on March 28th, 1930, he was the son of the late Raymond N. Hulser and Pauline Pizer Hulser. He was raised in Utica and graduated from Utica Free Academy in 1950. He served in the Armed Forces from May 1951 until May 1953. Bill married the love of his life, Claudia Williams at St. Paul's Church in Whitesboro, October 17, 1953, where they resided for many years raising their family. He was a hardworking individual who started his career at L.A. Moore and Co. Pest Control at the age of nine years old, and after many years of hard work, became full owner, until his retirement in 1989. Bill was known as a kind and gentle man who loved and cherished his family and friends. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a very generous, caring and good-hearted man, Bill always held to the belief that family came first. For many years he shared laughs with his wife and special friends, the mall walkers. He had a passion for boating and enjoyed the St. Lawrence River and Alexandria Bay area. Bill was a devout Catholic and a member of Historic Old St. John's Church of Utica. He is survived by his loving wife, Claudia, of 53 years; one son, William Hulser II of Clinton, whom he shared a very special relationship with; three daughters, Suzanne Fortnam of Whitesboro, Cindy Boehlert and husband, Douglas of Deerfield, and Elaine Slawson and boyfriend, Christopher Spac of Utica. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, Carey Fortnam and his fiancee, Nina Salerno, Amy and Christine Fortnam, Christy, Douglas and Claudia Boehlert, Michael Lansing, John, Jessica, William and Landon Slawson; and two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Cohen Boehlert, who brought much happiness to his life. He is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Marion (Duffy) and her husband, Bill Geary of Vernon Center, Helene Hulser of Murrels Inlet, South Carolina, and Ann Hulser of New Hartford; and many nieces and nephews. Bill is the last of seven children and is predeceased by two sisters, Elaine Hulser and Shirley Baksa; and four brothers, Raymond, Richard, Herbert and Thomas. Bill was also predeceased by a very special friend and father figure, Mr. Leon A. Moore. He will also be missed by his canine companion, Lady Di. Mr. Hulser's Funeral will be held Friday, March 16, 2007, at 8:45 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica, and at 10:00 a.m. at Historic Old St. John's Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. His burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitestown, NY. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. The family offers their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Krause and Hospice for all their kind and gentle care. In lieu of flowers, we ask you to consider donations to Hospice or the Alzheimers Association in Bill's memory.
