Mr. Walter F. Madaras, 91, of Bald Knob AR, formerly of Holland Patent passed from this life to be with our Lord, February 16, 2008. Walter was born June 10, 1916 in Utica the son of Jon and Mary Madarasz. He married Alcy Buttenschon of Utica in April 1941 in Holy Trinity Church, Utica of which he was a life member. His wife of 63 years preceded him in death November 6, 2004. After his wife's passing he moved to Bald Knob, AR to live with his Daughter and her husband Donna and Charles Mowers. Mr. Madaras is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Charles; five grandchildren, Rosemarie Starbuck, Searcy, AR, Lisa Moyer, Watervliet, NY, Sherri Popejoy, Hanover, MD, Terrence Mowers, Harlingen, TX and Charles Mowers II, Lakewood, CO; ten great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and one great great granddaughter expected in April. His parents, beloved wife Alcy, four brothers, Frank, John, Stanley and Adam and two sisters, Josephine Daedelow and Ida Cooper, preceded him in death. Mr. Madaras' funeral will be held on Friday February 22, 2008 at 8:30 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and 9:00 at Holy Trinity Church, Utica where his mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Utica. Calling hours for family and friends are Thursday 6:00-8:00 p.m.
