Obituary of Loretta Odelia Wagner

Miss Loretta Odelia Wagner, 86 a resident of St. Joseph Nursing Home, Utica formerly of the Kennedy Apts., Utica past away on Thursday April 6, 2006 at the nursing home. Loretta was born in Utica on August 19, 1919 the daughter of George and Odelia (Vaeth) Wagner. She was raised in Utica, attended St. Joseph grade school and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. For many years Loretta was employed with Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company retiring in 1981. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph St. Patrick Church, Utica, a member and past secretary of the Third Order of St. Francis and a member of the Legion of Mary. Loretta enjoyed drawing and writing stories. Miss Wagner is survived by two sisters-in-law, Rosemary Wagner, Utica and Blanche Wagner, PA and many nieces, nephew, great nieces and great nephews, including her niece, Joann Szalkowski and nephew Tom Wagner who both lovingly cared for Loretta. She was predeceased by a sister, Helen Flynn and two brothers, Raymond Wagner and Edward Wagner. Miss Wagner's funeral will be held on Monday April 10, 2006 at 8:45 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and 9:30 at St. Joseph St. Patrick Church where her Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Yorkville. Calling hours for family and friends are Sunday 4-7 p.m. Miss Wagner's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of St. Joseph Nursing Home for the loving care provided to Loretta.
