Dear Veronica, May you be at peace with our Lord. You were such a wonderful example of truth and purity, and as someone who new you only for a short time your name truely defined you. I wish your family peace and healing in their time of loss, and hope the bond of family will keep you alive in their hearts. You did not leave this earth untouched; for every blessing that your family shall recieve, may they find comfort in knowing that you are at our Lords side watching them.

Grams, Who am I going to spend St. Paddy's day with? I'll miss having drinks with you on St Paddys day and putting down the Orangemen. Seriously, this year, sadly, I'll toast to a helluva lass on our special day together. Grams....I don't even know where to start. I'll miss you so much. The Whopper Jr sandwiches with extra onions. The wine we kept you stocked in. The sweet treats you couldn't resist. All the holidays at my house. One step at a time up my front stairs. STEP WITH YOUR GOOD LEG, GRAMS! Your house after baseball practice. Those great hamburgs your made. The chocolate pudding you made for me with that thick stuff on the top. Peanut butter sandwiches and pepsi. Riding my bike to your house on Saturday mornings as a kid. The one time in my life you yelled at me for climbing your front tree when you told me not to, that we laughed together about not long ago. Of course, our St Paddy's day nights out together where you'd tell me stories about great grampa and your uncle who'd go out to fight EVERY STINKIN' YEAR as your mother would put it. So many things I'm going to miss. You were more a part of my life than I think I even knew. All I can say is, I mourn for myself. I know you're in a better place, but I'm going to miss you so much. I just wish I could be there to see you and grampa together, because for the last 27 years of your life, that's all you've truly wanted in your heart. I know you have it now. I'll love you and miss you for as long as I live.

The world has lost a very special person. I'm very happy that I was able to spend a little time with her, even if only for a short while.

Gramma, I will always have loving memories of you through all the stages of my life. I remember you rocking me with my blankey singing Don t sit under the Apple tree with anyone else but me I can still feel the excitement when you took me on a bus ride downtown and you treated me to a blueberry muffin at the local diner. When my mom was in the hospital having Barbie, I could only be comforted by being with you in her absence. Going to the stock car races with you and Grandpa was such great fun and I always came home with a little stock car. How I loved your toast because it was real butter and I could have all the chocolate cake I wanted when I stayed overnight with you. As a young adult, I have fond memories of your visits with Grampa to Florida. Many people might be surprised to find out that in addition to our visit to Disney World, we also paid a visit (including an 8- month pregnant Aunt Nancy) to the classy Orlando strip club and cheered on the competition on amateur night! I loved to shop for purses with you, as I inherited your addiction for them. In the last years, I cherished our time together when I could visit for your 90th birthday party, and again in April last year. I had so much fun shopping with you, Mom, and Aunt Nancy to do a clothing makeover where you looked beautiful and trendy. I was always so proud of your vitality and beauty even into your 90s. You are my hero. I am so grateful for the conversations we had in your last years so I could gather your memories and I hope to turn it into a wonderful book celebrating your life. We will all miss our Energizer bunny but I can just see you now, riding around in that fancy car with Grampa with a big smile on your face. Until I see you again! Love, Debbie

With love to you dear gramma, you were the best grandmother anyone could wish for and you were ours. I remember so many wonderful memories I can't even write that much, but the most important of them all is the love you gave me. You always were smiling and Full of fun. You gave me comfort and the safety of a home when I was little and scared. and your beauty both inside and out will live forever in my heart and soul. thank you for being who you were. What can I say about my Aunt Vernie? Sweetness personified! That would be my description of her. She thought of me as a daughter and she was there for me when I needed her. We used to reminisce about past funny incidents when we talked on the phone. I just wish Adam and I lived in Utica so we could visit her and take her out to dinner regularly. While we mourn her loss, we are filled with joy knowing she is reunited with Uncle Leo and many other deceased members of the family while on her celestial journey. I almost wish I had eyes to see that reunion. What a party that would be! I love you, Aunt Vernie.....and I'll see ya later. I send you and the family big hugs.

Gramma, Your spirit is an inspiration to me. You welcomed me as one of your own and so, I never felt I wasn't. You will be sorely missed by all of us, but I feel so bad for your little girl, Gabrielle. How we tried to have her come on your birthday, but she decided she needed her own special day, so she waited. You said "it was for the best, a beautiful angel should not have to share that day." You were right! A beautiful angel shouldn't have to share her special day, and so you didn't. We were blessed that the two of you still celebrated your birthdays together. I will always see you in her. The red hair, blue eyes, the porcelain white skin, that gentle sense of humor, and her need to have too many purses. ;) You will live on through all the lives you touched. This is not goodbye, but a simple "see you when I get home". Till then watch over us.
