Rose Marie Mulvaney, 93, of New York Mills, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at St. Luke's Healthcare Center. Rose was born on April 15, 1914 in Utica, the daughter of Vincent and Marguerite Delorenzo. She was raised and educated locally. In 1934, Rose married Paul Mulvaney. Mr. Mulvaney passed away in 1959. Rose was an active member of the New Hartford Senior Citizens. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in New Hartford. Rose spent her life caring for her family, and was lovingly known as 'the peacekeeper'. She was the ultimate mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Anyone who knew her, loved her and her beautiful blue eyes. Rose is survived by her daughter, Margarita Carfagno, New York Mills; her son, Paul Mulvaney, Jr., Utica; three beloved grandchildren, Melinda Albertine, New York Mills, Christopher and Katherine Carfagno, New Hartford, and Vincent R. Carfagno; three cherished great grandchildren, Christopher Carfagno, Jr., Frank Albertine IV, and Matthew Albertine; one sister, Anne Martin, Illinois; a special family friend, Jyothi Prabhu, New Hartford as well as by many nieces and nephews. Rose is predeceased by two brothers, George and Fred Delorenzo; three sisters, Margaret Montanarelli, Madelaine Giglio, and Mary Evans; and a son-in-law, Vincent A. Carfagno. Rose's funeral will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 11:30 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, New Hartford where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment in Crown Hill Memorial Park, Kirkland will take place at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call at the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 East Park Row, Clinton on Saturday morning from 9 ? 11 am prior to the funeral mass. Those wishing may donate to the American Cancer Society in Rose's memory. Rose's family would like to thank the Senior Network Staff as well as the Visiting Nurses Association for the care and compassion they have shown to both Rose and her family during this difficult time.
