Mr. Nick F. Turturo, 57, passed into the hands of God on Sunday November 4, 2007. Nick was born in Utica on September 17, 1950 the son of Nicholas F. and Pauline M. (Collette) Turturo. He was raised locally and was a graduate of Proctor High School. Nick proudly served in the US Army, 101st airborne during the Vietnam War. For many years, Nick was employed as foreman with Monarch Chemicals, in Utica. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church, Marcy and VFW post, Whitesboro. Mr. Turturo is survived by his daughter, Melissa Turturo and her fiancée, Luis Rios; his son, Matthew Turturo; six grandchildren, Vincent Turturo, Anthony Turturo, Jaden Rios, Vedar Rios, Nikkiah Rios and Marciello Rios; two sisters, Linda M. Jones and Judy Turturo; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Rodney and Judy Quesnelle, Michael Turturo and David and Donna Turturo and a special friend, Allison Nickerson; He was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Pauline and a sister, Mary Quesnelle. Mr. Turturo's funeral will be held on Thursday November 8, 2007 at 12:00 noon at Heintz Funeral Home 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Utica. Calling hours for family and friends are Wednesday 6-8 at the funeral home.
