Mary G. Jaskolka, 83, loving mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on Monday May 7, 2007 at the Hospice of The Valley in Phoenix, AZ. Mary was born in Syracuse, NY on December 30, 1923 a daughter of William and Mary (Mechowska) Cieslak. She attended local schools and lived the majority of her life in Utica and New York Mills. Mary was married to Walter Jaskolka who passed away in 1975. Until her retirement in 1983 Mary was employed with the General Electric Co. Mary is survived by a son; Edward W. Jaskolka, Yorkville, a daughter; Carol A. Blakiston, AZ, a sister; Helen Nougeim, Utica, five grandchildren; Scott Jaskolka, Matthew Jaskolka, Nicholas Blakiston, Rebecca Blakiston, Jessica Blakiston, a great Grandson; Alex Jaskolka, and a nephew; Ronald Cieslak. Mrs. Jaskolka's funeral will be held on Saturday May 12, 2007 at 10:15 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and at 11:00 from Sacred Heart Church, Utica. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus and Casimer Cemetery, Whitestown. Calling hours at the funeral home are Saturday morning from 9-10:15. Mary family would like to express their appreciation to the Hospice of The Valley for the excellent care and compassion she received.
