William M. Jenkins, 60, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Faxton – St. Luke’s Health Care. William was born in New Hartford on August 15, 1958, a son of Dorine (Jones) Jenkins and the late Raymond Jenkins. He was a 1978 graduate of Frankfort Schuyler School. On September 8, 1990 at the New Hartford United Methodist Church William was united in marriage to Patricia Ossont. He was employed as a cook at the Emerald Room of the Turning Stone Casino, a job that he loved. William also owned and operated W.M.J. & A. Tax Service in Clinton. He was a member of the Clark Mills United Methodist Church and the Kirkland Seniors. William is survived by his Wife, Patricia, his mother, Dorine Jenkins, Warners, NY; three step children, Ken Schafer and wife, Candy, OH, Mark Schafer and significant other, Stacey, New Hartford, Sandy Arcuri and husband, Mark, Deerfield; six grandchildren, Mark, Brittany, Rowan, Cassondra, Kayleigh and Lucas; two sisters, Diann McMahon and husband, Daniel, Warners, NY, and Louella Prentice, Frankfort, NY, special cousins, Karl and Tricia Jones, New Hartford and a sister-in-law, Jennie Chase, Utica. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. William was predeceased by a sister, Karen Sharma. Calling hours for William will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 5-7 at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. His funeral will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 11:00 at the Clark Mills United Methodist Church. A spring burial will take place in Frankfort Center Cemetery. Those so wishing may make donations to the Clark Mills United Methodist Church in William’s memory. The family would like to extend their thanks to the nurses and staff and especially Kristy Hale of Faxton-St. Luke’s for all the loving care given to William.
